Base in Quincy, MA. Paintings are a mixture of pen drawings, gouache, and latex masking fluid. My inspiration comes from the desire to experiment with the gouache medium, using its opacity to build layers of details and shadows on the figures. I start with pens as the base to outline the figures and crosshatching to provide general shadows before moving to gouache. My love for pen drawings and gouache stems from my education in landscape architecture where I sketched and detailed many various landscapes in New England.
